From a Frustrated Drive
to a City-Wide Solution

"We spent 40 minutes looking for parking near Saravana Stores during Pongal. That was the day we decided to fix this."

ParkChennai was founded in 2022 by a group of engineers and urban mobility enthusiasts right here in Chennai. What started as a weekend project to map parking spots near T. Nagar quickly grew into a full-fledged platform covering every major neighbourhood in the city.

Today, we work with 200+ parking operators across Chennai — from family-run lots in Mylapore to corporate basements in Guindy — to bring you real-time data, transparent pricing, and seamless booking.

Idea is Born

Frustrated after a 45-minute parking hunt near Saravana Stores, our founders begin building the prototype.

2022 — Q3
Launched in T. Nagar

ParkChennai goes live with 12 parking spots in T. Nagar. 400 users sign up in the first week.

2023 — Q1
City-Wide Expansion

Coverage expands to 50 locations across 10 major Chennai zones including Adyar, Anna Nagar and Velachery.

2023 — Q4
EV Charging Network

Launched EV-charging enabled parking slots at 25 locations across the city — a first in Chennai.

2024 — Q2
50,000 Users Milestone
